95 an hour We are looking for a Child Development Center Assistant to join our Head Start team at Coastal Community Action! CCA is a private nonprofit corporation providing a variety of services to a target population of low-income children and families in ten counties in eastern NC, with a mission of empowering them to become self-sufficient.
The Center Assistant will be responsible for assisting with center operations as it relates to child enrollment and data management as required by federal and state statutes, and as outlined in the Family and Children's Services Procedures Manual.
What You'll Do:
Responsible for meeting Performance Standards, the Head Start (HS) Act, State Licensing Standards, Coastal Community Action, Inc.
(CCA) requirements of employment and quality service delivery.
Ensures compliance with ERSEA (eligibility, recruitment, selection, enrollment, and attendance), completing child application packets, according to stated application and enrollment procedures, and maintaining enrollment.
Inputs accurate data into electronic databases, reporting progress toward program outcomes at least monthly, and participating in center meetings as directed by the Center Manager.
Provides support and assistance to the Center Manager to ensure that the center runs smoothly, that visitors are adequately informed and managed, that teachers have the appropriate child data before attendance, and to discuss relevant findings during application with the appropriate staff and Center Manager.
Attends and participates in workshops, conferences, training, and meetings within and outside of the agency.
Works in conjunction with the Center Manager to ensure that enrollment levels are met and maintained through proper implementation of the recruitment, application, enrollment, and selection procedures.
Contacts parents for needed information for record-keeping, following up with parents and staff as needed related to the flow and accuracy of information.
What You'll Have:
Associate's Degree with 3 or more years experience in a related field.
Experience in childcare or social services-oriented environment performing administrative duties.
Strong organizational skills are required, including file management, information sharing, follow-up, and tracking records.
Valid background clearance.
COVID-19 vaccination required.
